Features: Colorless transparent monoclinic crystal. Magnesium oxide content 15.8%, nitrogen content 10.8%; It is easily soluble in water, liquid ammonia, methanol and ethanol, and stable at room temperature. The relative density is 1.461, which is higher than the melting point of 95 °C to dehydrate to generate basic magnesium nitrate, which begins to decompose when heated to 300 °C, and completely decomposes into magnesium oxide and nitrogen oxide gas when it reaches 400 °C or more.
Use:
Industrially used as a dehydrating agent for concentrated nitric acid, manufacturing explosives, catalyst catalysts and other magnesium salts and nitrate raw materials, wheat ashing agent, etc
