According to Chinese customs statistics, in August 2020, China exported 2.76 million tons of various fertilizers, including 200000 tons of urea, 880000 tons of ammonium sulfate, 800000 tons of diammonium phosphate and 280000 tons of monoammonium phosphate.
From January to August 2020, China exported a total of 17.08 million tons of various fertilizers, a decrease of 5.8 percent year-on-year, and a cumulative export value of US $3.861 billion billion, a decrease of 22.5 percent year-on-year. Among them, urea exports totaled 2.1 million tons, down 22.0 percent year-on-year; ammonium sulfate exports totaled 5.12 million tons, up 12.9 percent; diammonium phosphate exports totaled 3.6 million tons, down 12.6 percent year-on-year; monoammonium phosphate exports totaled 1.72 million tons, down 9.2 percent year-on-year.
Imports
930000 tons of various fertilizers were imported in August 2020. Among them, potassium chloride and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertilizer were imported 830000 tons and 80000 tons respectively.
From January to August, a total of 5.54 million tons of potassium chloride were imported, a year-on-year decrease of 17.9; a total of 950000 tons of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertilizer were imported, a year-on-year increase of 0.9.
