preliminary statistics from china's customs show that,From January to August 2020, China exported 17.083 million tons of various large-element fertilizers (including ammonium chloride, potassium nitrate and organic fertilizers for animals and plants, the same below), a decrease of 5.8 per cent year-on-year; exports amounted to US $3.862 billion billion, a decrease of 22.5 per cent year-on-year.
among them,In August, 2.76 million tons of fertilizer were exported, an increase of 159000 tons or 8.6 percent over the same period last year. Fertilizer exports in the month amounted to US $0.631 billion billion, down 4.5 percent from the same period last year.
In terms of imports,From January to August 2020, China imported a total of 6.81 million tons of various fertilizers, a decrease of 1.378 million tons or 16.8 percent year-on-year, and a cumulative import amount of US $2.597 billion billion, a decrease of 25.5 percent year-on-year.
among them,In August, 926000 tons of fertilizer were imported, up 275000 tons year on year., an increase42.0 per cent; imports for the month amounted to $0.224 billion, up 13.6 per cent year-on-year.
