Export

From January to July 2023, China exported 15.5 million tons of various fertilizers with an amount of US $5.24 billion. Among them, 2.78 million tons of various fertilizers were exported in July with an amount of US $0.769 billion. During the month, the number increased by 44.4 per cent and the amount decreased by 26.2 per cent compared with the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 36.6 per cent and the amount decreased by 2.7 per cent compared with the same period last year.

Among them:

Urea exported 320000 tons in July (220000 tons in June) with an amount of US $0.104 billion. From January to July, 1.33 million tons were exported with an amount of US $0.546 billion. During the month, the number increased by 114.7 per cent and the amount increased by 13.4 per cent over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 52.3 per cent and the amount increased by 4.3 per cent over the same period last year.

Ammonium sulfate exported 1.11 million tons in July (1.14 million tons in June), with an amount of US $0.162 billion; From January to July, a total of 6.92 million tons were exported, with an amount of US $1.24 billion. During the month, the number increased by 22.4 per cent and the amount decreased by 37.5 per cent compared with the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 21.8 per cent and the amount decreased by 26.1 per cent compared with the same period last year.

Diammonium phosphate exported 510000 tons in July (930000 tons in June) with an amount of US $0.228 billion. From January to July, a total of 2.92 million tons were exported, with an amount of US $1.588 billion. In the same month, the number increased by 51.6 and the amount decreased by 28.8 over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 78.7 and the amount increased by 20.1 over the same period last year.

Monoammonium phosphate exported 200000 tons in July (50000 tons in June) with an amount of US $95.973 million. From January to July, a total of 1.13 million tons were exported, with an amount of US $0.697 billion. During the month, the number increased by 10.1 per cent and the amount decreased by 41.1 per cent compared with the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 0.5 per cent and the amount decreased by 23.2 per cent compared with the same period last year.

Imports

From January to July 2023, China imported 7.18 million tons of various fertilizers with an amount of US $3.62 billion. Among them, 1.14 million tons of various fertilizers were imported in July, with a total amount of US $0.427 billion. In the same month, the number increased by 52.1 and the amount decreased by 6.4 over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 34.6 and the amount increased by 32.0 over the same period last year.

Among them:

Potassium chloride imported 1 million tons in July (1.05 million tons in June), with an amount of US $0.343 billion. From January to July, 6.21 million tons were imported, with an amount of US $3.006 billion. In the same month, the number increased by 45.3 and the amount decreased by 16.3 over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 30.9 and the amount increased by 29.8 over the same period last year.

Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertilizer imported 140000 tons in July (120000 tons in June), with an amount of US $73.483 million. From January to July, a total of 770000 tons were imported, with an amount of 0.499 billion US dollars. During the month, the number increased by 205.6 per cent and the amount increased by 117.3 per cent over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 73.8 per cent and the amount increased by 54.0 per cent over the same period last year.
