Export

From January to March 2023, China exported 5.58 million tons of various fertilizers with an amount of US $2.111 billion. Among them, 2 million tons of various fertilizers were exported in March, with an amount of US $0.721 billion. During the month, the number increased by 24.1 per cent and the amount increased by 1.5 per cent over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 34.4 per cent and the amount increased by 18.1 per cent over the same period last year.

Among them:

Urea exported 120000 tons in March (170000 tons in February) with an amount of US $55.51 million. From January to March, a total of 530000 tons were exported, with an amount of 0.254 billion US dollars. During the month, the number increased by 82.5 per cent and the amount increased by 47.3 per cent over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 73.8 per cent and the amount increased by 46.7 per cent over the same period last year.

Ammonium sulfate exported 1.02 million tons in March (890000 tons in February), with an amount of US $0.202 billion; From January to March, a total of 2.8 million tons were exported, with an amount of 0.582 billion US dollars. During the month, the number increased by 33.9 per cent and the amount increased by 3.1 per cent over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 18.8 per cent and the amount decreased by 19.5 per cent over the same period last year.

Diammonium phosphate exported 260000 tons in March (90000 tons in February) with an amount of US $0.168 billion. From January to March, a total of 630000 tons were exported, with an amount of 0.429 billion US dollars. During the month, the number decreased by 30.6 per cent and the amount decreased by 39.4 per cent compared with the same period last year; the cumulative number decreased by 14.7 per cent and the amount decreased by 17.3 per cent compared with the same period last year.

Monoammonium phosphate exported 190000 tons in March (150000 tons in February) with an amount of US $0.122 billion. From January to March, a total of 530000 tons were exported, with an amount of US $0.374 billion. During the month, the number increased by 84.8 per cent and the amount increased by 56.4 per cent over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 163.9 per cent and the amount increased by 155.8 per cent over the same period last year.

Imports

From January to March 2023, China imported 2.84 million tons of various fertilizers with an amount of US $1.59 billion. Among them, 1.07 million tons of various fertilizers were imported in March, with a total amount of US $0.59 billion. In the same month, the number increased by 33 per cent and the amount increased by 57.6 per cent over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 16.4 per cent and the amount increased by 51.7 per cent over the same period last year.

Among them:

Potassium chloride imported 960000 tons in March (690000 tons in February), with an amount of US $0.514 billion. From January to March, 2.57 million tons were imported, with an amount of 1.397 billion US dollars. During the month, the number increased by 49.7 per cent and the amount increased by 93.5 per cent over the same period last year. Cumulatively, the number increased by 22.6 per cent and the amount increased by 70.3 per cent over the same period last year.

Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertilizer imported 70000 tons in March (90000 tons in February), with an amount of US $48.001 million. From January to March, a total of 210000 tons were imported, with an amount of US $0.148 billion. During the month, the number decreased by 45.8 per cent and the amount decreased by 46.3 per cent compared with the same period last year; the cumulative number decreased by 22.4 per cent and the amount decreased by 18.9 per cent compared with the same period last year.
