According to Chinese customs statistics, China exported 2.96 million tons of various fertilizers in June 2024. Among them, 70000 tons of urea, 1.24 million tons of ammonium sulfate, 480000 tons of diammonium phosphate and 320000 tons of monoammonium phosphate.
From January to June 2024, China exported a total of 12.61 million tons of various fertilizers, a year-on-year decrease of 0.8; the cumulative export amount was 3.234 billion billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year decrease of 27.6 percent. Among them, urea exports totaled 140000 tons, down 86.2 percent from the same period last year; ammonium sulfate exports totaled 6.54 million tons, up 12.8 percent from the same period last year; diammonium phosphate exports totaled 1.51 million tons, down 37.3 percent from the same period last year; monoammonium phosphate exports totaled 930000 tons, up 0.8 percent from the same period last year.
According to the conversion of nutrients, China's cumulative export of urea, ammonium sulfate, ammonium phosphate, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium pure nutrients is 2.962 million tons from January to June.

In terms of imports, 950000 tons of various fertilizers were imported in June 2024. Among them, potassium chloride and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertilizer were imported 840000 tons and 100000 tons respectively.
From January to June, potassium chloride imported a total of 6.43 million tons, an increase of 23.3 percent over the same period last year, while nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertilizer imported a total of 630000 tons, a decrease of 0.5 percent over the same period last year.
According to the conversion of nutrients, the cumulative import of potassium chloride and ternary compound fertilizer from January to June is 4.16 million tons of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium pure nutrients.
From January to June, China's major grain and oil agricultural products (grains, beans and vegetable oils) converted into hidden imported chemical fertilizers to 4.78 million tons of pure nutrients, an increase of 3.8 percent over the same period last year.
