China Fertilizer Export Data
According to Chinese customs statistics, in July 2024, China exported a total of 3.07 million tons of various fertilizers. Among them, 80000 tons of urea, 1.41 million tons of ammonium sulfate, 510000 tons of diammonium phosphate and 250000 tons of monoammonium phosphate.
From January to July, China exported a total of 15.68 million tons of various fertilizers, an increase of 1.3 percent over the same period last year; the cumulative export amount was 4.122 billion billion US dollars, a decrease of 21.2 percent over the same period last year. Among them, urea exports totaled 220000 tons, down 83.5 percent from the same period last year; ammonium sulfate exports totaled 7.94 million tons, up 15 percent from the same period last year; diammonium phosphate exports totaled 2.02 million tons, down 30.7 percent from the same period last year; monoammonium phosphate exports totaled 1.19 million tons, up 5.3 percent from the same period last year.
According to nutrient conversion, from January to July, China's cumulative export of urea, ammonium sulfate, ammonium phosphate, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium pure nutrients was 3.775 million tons.
China Fertilizer Import Data
In terms of imports, in July 2024, China imported a total of 850000 tons of various fertilizers. Among them, potassium chloride and nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertilizer were imported 720000 tons and 100000 tons respectively.
From January to July, a total of 7.15 million tons of potassium chloride were imported, a year-on-year increase of 15.1; a total of 730000 tons of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium ternary compound fertilizer were imported, a year-on-year decrease of 5.1.
According to the conversion of nutrients, from January to July, the accumulated imported potassium chloride and ternary compound fertilizer converted into nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium pure nutrients was 4.64 million tons.
From January to July, China's major grain and oil agricultural products (grains, beans and vegetable oils) converted hidden imported chemical fertilizers into pure nutrients reached 5.586 million tons, an increase of 3.7 percent over the same period last year.
